VANISHING POINT
A collection that expresses a striving towards a point of synthesis, reduction and stillness, situated at an infinite distance: an ideal place where tensions and disharmonies finally come to rest.
While the DOWNHILL collection offered elements for one or two pairs of downill skis, conceived as single objects to be wall-mounted, VANISHING POINT revisits the same minimalist approach by integrating the supports, on which the skis remain suspended by gravity, into a continuous steel sheet.
The number of supports, and consequently the length of the mounting sheet, can be customized according to requirements.
The structure is made of AISI 304 stainless steel to prevent oxidation over time, even in humid environments; it is available in satin or painted finishes.
For particularly aggressive environments or installations on boats, the structure can be made in AISI 316 steel, characterized by high resistance to corrosion induced by salts and humidity.
Multiple fixing points ensure a simple, solid, and secure installation.
As in the DOWNHILL series, the structure is completed by a dedicated covering for ski support, available in PVC, Acrylic Solid Surface, solid wood (in various species), natural leather (in different colors), and flexible carbon fiber fabric.
The combination of the number of supports, the various steel finishes, and the complementary components for ski support generates an extremely wide range of configurations, difficult to represent in their entirety.
The VANISHING POINT collection is intended for particularly prestigious installations, where the ski room is not conceived as a simple storage area, but as an integral part of the main architectural spaces.
The name VANISHING POINT originates from the suggestion generated by the perspective convergence of the steel blades.
At the same time, it metaphorically expresses the tension towards a point of synthesis, reduction, and immobility, placed at an infinite distance: an ideal place where tensions and disharmonies finally come to rest.
