The Artwork, the Space, the Imagination
The creative vision of INSILVIS, developed since 1994, encompasses an extraordinary range of techniques, materials, finishes and design languages. It spans everything from the finest traditions of Italian craftsmanship to the most advanced industrial technologies; from traditional materials such as wood, metals, stone and glass to innovative solutions such as composite materials; and from traditional finishes, including plant-based coatings and exquisite gold and silver leaf applications, to contemporary industrial finishes. Its formal language likewise embraces a broad spectrum of expressions, from solid wood creations to works combining steel, glass and marble.
The breadth of these design possibilities makes it virtually impossible to anticipate all the interactions that the works may establish with different architectural settings, as well as the multitude of visual, relational and emotional responses they may evoke once placed within the spaces for which they were conceived.
Artificial intelligence now makes it possible to explore these relationships in advance through visualisations of the works within their intended settings, generated from images of the spaces in which they are to be placed. These visualisations are not intended to replace the client’s imagination, nor to dictate or constrain its possibilities, but rather to provide it with a tangible visual aid. They help bring into view, at least in part, what the client already envisions, supporting the development, exploration and refinement of their own vision of the space and of the dialogue that may emerge between the artwork and the architecture.
The image generated by artificial intelligence thus becomes a tool in the service of creative imagination: not a definitive answer, but a possibility to be explored, interpreted and transformed.
