The CYLINDER model by Insilvis was released in 2009 as part of a collection of wall-mounted coat hangers inspired by basic geometric shapes.
The collection also includes the CUBE and CONE models.
The CYLINDER model is fixed to the wall by gravity on a solid piece of acetal resin, that is pre-fixed to the wall and remains hidden.
While this is an excellent solution for private settings, it is potentially problematic for public or open-access environments due to the ease with which the cylindrical stainless steel body can be removed.
The CYLINDER has been redesigned and is now available as the CYLINDER Evo, retaining the charm of basic geometry but with several changes.
The coat rack now consists of a visible first stage fixed to the wall by two fixing points. The second stage is screwed onto the first stage and rotation is blocked by a small transverse screw. The coat rack is made of solid aluminium and can be finished in a variety of ways.
